It looks like Beyonce is crazy in love ... with country music. The diva recently performed a country version of 'Irreplaceable' with Sugarland, and has been so inspired by the genre that she enlisted the help of singer-songwriter Amanda Ghost to work on her next album."Beyonce wants to try something completely different," a source tells British newspaper The Sun. "She's a fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go. She contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her on it".
Ghost has writing credits on James Blunt's hit 'You're Beautiful,' Beyonce and Shakira's 'Beautiful Liar,' and Jordin Sparks' 'Tattoo.'

Hmmm, she's making a dance album AND now country, that girl sure wants to be heard. Good for her for branching out though, there is nothing wrong with experimentation. :)
Now where are all the racist comments?! Generally they are up first thing....!

Props to Jake for calling out the racist comments thing. As long as Jennifer Nettles has nothing to do with this record and also NEVER sings the bridge and chorus to "Irreplaceable" again, this project might be a success.

oh GOD, please let this not be true!! Most of the songs(spanish version) on her album wasnt even her voice! So now i guess she is going to get Reba to fill it in for her!? =(

I mean, she can do whatever she wants to do...I just want to know when the music industry became more about what artists want to do than what works. There are many black country artists, but none of them have really "made" it because that industry is more racist against blacks than R&B and rap are against whites and Asians. Beyonce being Beyonce will get her the attention, but, unless she comes out with a Nelly/Tim McGraw-like mix (uh, I guess her singing, Jay-Z rapping), I don't know who will support/like a country CD from Beyonce...certainly not the rednecks in country regardless of what she does, but maybe Carlton Banks-like blacks will be okay with it. It's a cool idea in theory, but I'd just as soon prefer a pop/rock CD from her...it's a little less gimmicky and could actually result in HITS.

If you ask me, Beyonce can sing the phone book and make it sound great. Whatever she does, I'll be sure to go out and get it, but all fans aren't as dedicated, and I'm no so sure country fans will be so welcoming. It's time for her to do something different and off the wall though. I personally loved her singing in Spanish (It was her voice, by the way; I've heard her sing live in Spanish, and just like nearly all of her live performances, she's sounds just like the cd, and most of the time, even better), hell it got her nominated for a Latin Grammy (How you doin?). In order for her to stay around like the legends in music, she gonna have to reinvent herself. I'll support. All hail the Queen B.
