Jim Ed Brown was the first to make this song popular in 1973. Jackson covered it on the appropriately titled album, 'Under the Influence.'

Okay, so you are crediting A.J for a song that Jim Ed Brown made popular? Covers take away credibility from lists like these. (as well as the gretchen wilson pick) But come one... Give the man originally made it famous credit, or at least drop it down out of the top 10. I like Alan's version very much, and I think A.J is one of the last few Nashville survivors that havent gone Hollywood, but this one isnt right where it is.
