Is there anyone you're listening to these days that might surprise us?

That little Miley Cyrus ... she's like a little Elvis! The kids love her because she's Hannah Montana, but what people don't realize about her is she is such a fantastic singer and songwriter. She writes songs like she's 40 years old! She's really deep. And I think that she's gonna have a big career after that show is off the air. I know I'm partial, because she's my goddaughter. But I'm amazed at the talent that child has and the effect she has on people. And a lot of that ain't just Disney, a lot of that is Miley.

I have loved Dolly since I was a little girl -my kids, 14 and 5, listen to her as well as Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, etc....
She is right -put the older singers back on the radio - expose the younger generation to the great music.

THe new album of Dolly's Backwoods Barbie surprised me and my mom who's been listening to Dolly longer then I have.I just started to hear her songs and got right into them.

best songs for me is old country,was raised up with hard rock roll,but i rather leason,to mearl haggar,buck owens,dolly,willie nelson,,ect,,,on the radio down here 149.9 in soth georgia,,like old country thank you,,

Dollys right put them back on the radio,expose a new generation to it, see what happens. The raw emotion and truth of the old songs (alcoholism,divorce,tramatized childhood ect) is as true today as it was the day it was writen. New country? (and it is new) Yes its catchy but its like country sold out to rock and roll. Filling stadeum is the new name of the game.
