Sara Evans and former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker are engaged. Evans' rep confirmed the happy news to PEOPLE."The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials," Lori Genes told the magazine.
Evans went through a very public, messy divorce last year from first husband, Craig Schelske. They have three children together. Barker has four children from his first marriage.
Evans and Barker met last Fall through mutual friends. She has been a guest on his sports-radio show in Birmingham, Ala. several times, and he has joined her on a few tour stops. The two have yet to set a wedding date.

couldnt have happened to two better people i wish them all the best..i have lived in birmingham my entire life and have been a big jay barker fan.. i would hope my son turns out like jay barker instead of me..
