Choosing your words wisely is sometimes a hard lesson to learn, and it's one Kellie Pickler is trying her best to master. The 'American Idol' alum has talked publicly in the past about hardships in her family and love life. And she says that has resulted in some awkward fan encounters."Random people in a grocery store will come up and tell me what I should do: 'Oh, you should have left him a long time ago.' It's weird . . . they don't know anything but a paragraph they read in the paper," says Pickler. "I have to keep my big mouth shut about anything personal."
But, old habits die hard. The 21-year-old singer broke her new rule last week on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show.' When asked about her love life, she disclosed that, against her reservations, she's dating someone in the music business.
"When I started this, I said I will never ever be in a relationship with someone in the music business," she told DeGeneres. "Cause how awful would it be for like, say you're married to some big country singer and then you get a divorce, and then you've gotta share. Then you're nominated for Album of the Year, together, and he wins, and then you're just like, 'UGH!' And you know, you're going through a divorce ... It'd just be like a conflict of interest. And so, I date a songwriter."
Something tells me we're going to keep hearing about this country starlet's relationships.

I can't decide if this is an act, if she's just extremely naive, or if she's really this dumb. But regardless of the cause, her Gomer Pyle "go-oll-olly" thing is getting old - re-eall-lly fast.

she can sing but doesnt have that look at me im right here that she should have, she stands there and does nothing on stage . she is no a performer just a singer.

When I was going up to my room at Mandalay Bay, in Las Vegas, I ran into Kellie and several song writer friends. Kellie was just as nice as she could be and so were her friends. They took the time to talk to me for about 15 minutes, and Kellie introduced me to the writers with her. Kellie-if you read this-thanks so much for taking the time for me! It really meant alot to this kansas girl. And your secret is safe with me!!

Kellie Pickler is a breath of fresh air and the real deal. She grew up in the country and had never experienced "city life" before she was on American Idol. She has a good sense of humor and a in my opinion a kind heart. I believe she will have a long career. People who put down other people usually do it because they have very low self-esteem themselves. So she isn't polished or really super smart, who cares, she feels good about herself and let's face it, self-esteem is an important element in anyone's life. Texas is full of country bumpkins just like Kellie and it is no act. Cut her some slack....at least she is not a snob and she is being true to herself....even her accent is genuine.

I've only seen her once and thought she was very personable. She could be a great stand up comedian with a good "straight man" partner and writer. I wish her much luck and success.
