Toby Keith Preps for Sixth USO Tour

Toby Keith is packing his bags for his sixth USO tour. This time, the country star and longtime supporter of the U.S. military will head to the Persian Gulf. Focusing on the smaller and harder to reach bases, Keith plans to perform an impressive 18 shows in six days.

Keith, whose next greatest hits compilation album will be released May 6, recently finished filming his second movie, 'Beer For My Horses,' which he also wrote and produced. Additionally, he's gearing up for a summer tour with Montgomery Gentry.

"There's no denying I am definitely busy these days, but no matter how busy I am, I always make the time to visit our nation's troops," says Keith. "They all mean a lot to me and my trips overseas to visit them is what I look forward to every year. I only wish everyone had the opportunity to travel with the USO. It's been the experience of a lifetime for me."

Keith has played over 100 shows for the troops overseas, entertaining more than 118,000 troops. He also founded the 'USO To Go' program, which provides electronics, entertainment and personal care items to troops stationed in remote locations.
