Underwood, Swift Make People's 'Most Beautiful' Issue

Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift grace the pages of PEOPLE magazine's annual '100 Most Beautiful People' issue. Underwood admits she has a hard time feeling confident in her beauty, especially at red carpet events.

"I feel more beautiful when I see the pictures after," she told PEOPLE. "I'm like, 'I wish I had felt like I looked like that when I was actually there.'"

Swift shows her confidence by posing in the magazine without a stitch of makeup. It was a risk she was a little wary of taking.

"I have blonde eyelashes and blonde eyebrows, so my typical insecurity is that my eyes go away when I don't have makeup on," the 18-year-old told PEOPLE. "But it's important to be comfortable with who you are and go natural once in a while."

The two country beauties are joined by fellow musicians Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Norah Jones, Josh Groban and Jessica Simpson on PEOPLE's 'Most Beautiful' list. Actress Kate Hudson is the magazine's cover girl. See photos from the issue (including Taylor sans makeup!) here.

Carrie is the most beautiful country singer for sure!!! I met her a few weeks ago and she hardly had on any makeup at all and she was SOOOOO pretty!!!! and the fact that she is like the nicest person ever makes her even more pretty!!

a view from behind bars; taylor swift looks no different then most teenage girls these days at least the ones that are not obese. as far as being able to sing, i banned her from my listening area the first time i heard her screech on a music video. so many of these young female singers are judged famous by their looks and not their lack of talent...have a nice day.

Instead of criticizing the journalist, look at the content. You came on the site to read the article, so look for the good in it and move on. No use in fretting over one petty error. I'm sure every one of you has also made a typo or misused a word on the internet because our fingers can sometimes type faster than our brains can comprehend!

I, personally, thought it was interesting that Underwood isn't as confident as a lot of stars. It's a great and rare thing to stay humble in Hollywood.

Carrie Underwood didn't earn her fame (paying her dues) like everyone else. She went on "American Kareokee" and got her record deal that way.
