Worst Pre-Fame Jobs: No. 25

If you think today's country stars haven't paid their dues, you haven't met these performers. The Boot counts down 25 musicians who gave their blood, sweat and tears -- and the occasional body part -- to some pretty bad jobs on their way to the top.

Faith Hill: T-Shirt Seller

Hill -- then Faith Perry -- spent four months in Nashville before landing her first gig: a one-week stint selling T-shirts at Reba McEntire's booth at the 1987 Fan Fair. Hill's buddy Martina McBride paid her dues the same way. She was the lady behind the T-shirt table at Garth Brooks concerts in the early '90s.

Country Music took a nose dive about ten years ago and todays stuff sounds like soft rock or rockabilly gone bad. Is there hope - only if it goes back to it's roots and forgets about the Hollywood side of town.

I see most country singers are poorly educated to have such horrible pure fame jobs. You can't take the ignorance out of country music. Blue Collar people!

See stars like this have paid their dues. Like most of us in this world they have worked hard, started at the bottom and climbed the ladder. Or, at least many celebrities work hard a something, an acting or movie career at something in the industry, a sports figure, something, most people have worked at something. But I've heard lately that the celebrity world, especially Hollywood has had it with Paris Hilton for just this reason. She's never worked at anything like Faith Hill has and has never "paid her dues". Everyone asks, what has she ever done to be famous for? Nothing, it's just a famous last name she was born with. So instead of taking that advantage and using it to accomplish something good in this world, she's wasted it, along with alot or money and brains. She doesn't even know how to dress well. In the last months when they show her among the stars on the red carpet and other places she dressed like bozo the clown picked her outfit. She's hideous looking and that's being kind. A woman like Faith puts poor Paris to shame so badly that Paris should just go crawl in a hole somewhere and resurface in about 20 years when MAYBE she will have grown up. That big speech after they let her out of jail about how she was going to devote her life to doing good works was a joke. Everyone gave her time and now it's been long enough and she has done NOTHING. I doubt she's even picked up a piece of trash on the sidewalk and thrown it away. Hollywood has said, this is it, we're done with her. Maybe she should follow Faith Hill around for several weeks and see what a real woman does in life.

I love love love the countdowns.
they are very interesting and when
the lyrics are written and explained
it is just so much easier to comprehend
what the artist is trying to get out.
