Forbes magazine lists Toby Keith as country music's top-earning star. The 'Big Dog Daddy' raked in $48 million over the last year, thanks not only to album and ticket sales but also to his endorsement deal with Ford and to his successful chain of restaurants, Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill. Keith also owns his record label, Show Dog Records, and writes the majority of his own music.Rascal Flatts are the No. 2 top-earners in country, thanks to their platinum-selling albums and mostly to their wildly successful 2007 tour. The trio earned $40 million in the past year.
Tim McGraw's $23 million lands him at No. 3 on the list, while wife Faith Hill ties with Keith Urban in seventh place with $12 million earned in the past year. The McGraw-Hill Soul2Soul II tour was the second highest-grossing country tour of 2007, just behind Kenny Chesney, who falls at No. 4 on Forbes' list with $22 million in earnings.
