Wait a minute. Is AOL trying to pass of Toby Keith as a patriot? Toby Keith???!!! Toby Keith who got so indignant over the fact that OTHERS got indignant over the shredding of the American constitution? That makes him a patriot? Of what country -- the Soviet Union?

I AM A GRANDMOTHER AND A BIG FAN OF TOBY KEITH. MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE HE IS FROM OK. AND I LIVE IN TEXAS. WE HAVE A DIFFERENT WAY OF LOOKING AT THINGS. WE TAKE MATTERS LIKE PATRIOTISM PERSONALLY AND ARE WILLING TO "BOOT" ANYONE WHO DOESN'T. REMEMBER THE ALAMO !!!

Any Top 10 Patriotic songs list without Fighting Side of Me or Okie from Muskogee by Merle Haggard is a sham. Merle was patriotic during the Viet Nam war when it was NOT the popular thing to do. I do think some of the "patriotic" songs to day are written by opportunists

from a soldiers point of view. Toby has never said he served just that his Dad did. Just to inform you Toby does go overseas to intertain the troups as he is to old to join. How many other big stars do wait must just yell about the troups being over there , these great you men and women are just following orders. so why dont you all write then a ty.

Erin-did you ever listen to the actual words in the song and did you actually MEET him face to face to be able to come to your conclusion of things?? Who's the arrogant one here? My guess is YOU!!! So Toby Keith writes a song about a brave American Soldier and what he believes that soldier is fighting
for and the Politically Correct Brigade get all upset and start whinning, grow up you ass*oles he is telling a story from a soldiers point of view and like me is too old to actually join these brave men but he makes more trips overseas to entertain the military than most of the other stay at home would be patriots. I stand and salute you Toby we MUST show our brave troops that we are behind them 100% that we support their families and that whenever danger threatens we will always be there to support our brave men and women who risk their lives every day. "FREEDOM DONT COME FREE"
(P.S. I am British not American but i salute your patriotism and if the day comes i will proudly stand shoulder to shoulder with my American Brothers and Sisters as our forefathers did many years ago - "Remember the Alamo" NO SURRENDER
