Def Leppard apparently only whetted its appetite for country music by singing with Tim McGraw on the new 'Songs From the Sparkle Lounge.' Now, the British group will appear with 18-year-old Taylor Swift -- who once sang about Tim McGraw -- on a 'CMT Crossroads' episode set to tape in Nashville in October."Every time I've seen Crossroads on CMT I've always thought, 'If I ever get to do one of those, it has to be with Def Leppard!' So this is really a dream come true for me," says Swift. "I have been screaming the words to Def Leppard songs for years."
How many years? Could be all of them, as Swift was born two years after the arena rockers released 'Hysteria.'
The October taping will be at least the band's second trip to Nashville in three months. The group plays Nashville's Sommet Center on Friday, August 1. According to Pollstar, Tim McGraw has that night off.

Judy, I hear ya! She is HORRIBLE, what the heck is all the comotion about with this girl????? It's not a matter of age either. There are so many young kids with outstanding voices, they just have that "IT" factor. You either have it or you don't and she DOESN'T!
Her back-up singers in her band are just as bad as she is. They all have 0 talent. I would love to know who is behind this push. There certainly can't be that many deaf people walking around! I was listening to the country music station on TV and she was on (I can't bring myself to say she was singing!)and my husband said, who is she, she's terrible!!! He just shook his head and said she's a one hit wonder if I ever heard one. I truly feel she will be off the scene in a year or 2 just like Gretchen Wilson, sorry not a fan of hers either but that's another subject.

1 hit wonder? Think again. This gal is settin the country music world on fire. I've seen her live with just an acoustic guitar and thought she was a good singer. She's won several CMA and CMT awards, and been nominated for a Grammy. Not only can she sing, but she writes her own stuff. Where have you been?

Gosh, I think it's really sad to see such nasty comments about a 17/18 year old kid. I'm not Taylor Swift's biggest fan ever or anything, however, I completely respect and admire her for what she does. What is it exactly that she does, you ask? She makes herself vulnerable to the soul devouring beasts that are mean-hearted critics and paparazzi, so that she can pursue a difficultly obtained dream. She finds an anti-drug in releasing herself into her music. And most importantly, she brings joy to many people longing to escape a merciless society--A merciless society that is obviously and disapointingly reflected in internet message boards. Whether you like her voice or contribution to the music industry, there are plenty of good things you can find to say about this ambitious young lady. And the last thing anyone needs in this world is bitterness and negativity--if you don't have anything nice to say...well, you know the rest.

I agree she is not a good singer. She does write some decent songs but she just can't sing them. Carrie Underwood is the best and Julianne Hough is the best new artist to come along.
