Shania Twain has two tools for mending her broken heart: music and her 6-year-old son, Eja."She's spending as much time with Eja as possible and hasn't put down her guitar since the split," a source close to Twain tells PEOPLE magazine. "The songs are pouring out of her."
Twain made headlines back in May when she announced her separation from husband of 14 years, Robert "Mutt" Lange. The demise of her marriage, allegedly caused by an affair between Lange and a close family friend, has not kept her at home either. Since the split, she has been spotted vacationing in the Caribbean and shopping in her native Canada.
As for the new music she's writing on the road, it's not confirmed yet when we'll hear it. But we do know there's likely a plethora of material for a new CD.
"I have so much to say but I know the best way for me to speak is through my music," Twain writes on her website. "This is my therapy, my passion, and my love. I look forward to sharing it with all of you as I begin this new journey. I need some time to heal this broken heart but make no mistake; I will be back and hopefully stronger than ever. Thank you my friends, from the bottom of my heart."
