New Video: 'Come On Over,' Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson's first country music video is finally here! See the songbird's sexy 'Come on Over' video below, then tell us what you think.

'Come on Over' is the first single from Simpson's upcoming country album, 'Do You Know?,' which is set for release on September 9. The title track is a duet with Dolly Parton, who wrote the song specifically for Simpson.

It such a great song," says Simpson. "I'm so blessed to be able to sing with her on it . . . She is so much a part of me finding myself as an artist."

Simpson will be giving country fans a preview of her new CD as she hits the road this summer, playing at several fairs and festivals. See a list of concert dates here.

this song is amazing, i heard it on the radio and after it was down playin they said jessica simpson, didn't sound like her!! and for everyone who is saying shes trying to be like carrie underwood, or she needs to figure herself out. it is said no where that you can only sing one genre of music, let her sing what she enjoys, it dont have to be just pop!! and for being like carrie, they both are terffic artist. jessica has a good career and she has no need to try to be like someone else, so let her do what she loves.

..i like jes. it's tough to really know what you want when you have had a controlling father all your life. she's really sweet and trying to figure out her life...don't we all go thru this at somepoint in our lives? we just don't have it splashed all over the news and internet! give her a break..at least she's not sum obnoxious-no talent-famous-for-nothing bimbo

Jessica has always been beautiful, and she's always had "the pipes". Country suits her, and she does a GREAT job with this song. I also love Carrie Underwood, but I appreciate the restraint Jessica uses here in not just blasting away at every line, every word (an unfortunate recent habit by the gorgeous Miss Underwood that I hope she breaks). Jessica is older so she does "sexy" better than Carrie or Taylor ... but when Carrie rocks leather mini shorts and Taylor gets drenched onstage, you know they're workin' it, too -- being sexy does NOT negate talent, or class, or beauty. Jessica's got the whole package ... if she could just lose her father her life would be fine.

Honestly I think her voice is good, actually she should of just started out as country! Many of the female singers now-a-days all sound the same, at the least, this is different....

I give her credit to do this, it was a big risk taker, now let's see if she stays country... I think if stays with Country, she will be accepted, some people probably think this will be a one CD shot, then back to POP.... And that would be just wrong....

Jessica has nothing to prove. She is fantastic and is going to make an amazing country singer. Carrie is great, but Jessica is fantastic. Can't compare the two.
Jessica has been around a lot longer. So what if she started out in another music category, so have a lot of other country singers. She sounds great singing country and is here to stay. This is where she blongs.
