Kenny Chesney had a tragic end to a recent show in New England, with two people killed, one seriously injured and 76 arrested. The fifth annual Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium turned into a chaotic scene, thanks in part to the unruly behavior of tailgaters who did not have tickets to the show. So while both police and concert attendees found the atmosphere inside the arena relatively subdued, the scene outside was quite the contrast.
The two fatalities and injury occurred when a car three women were riding in left the stadium and ran into a tree. The women did not have tickets to the show but had been tailgating. The arrests all happened outside the show, with charges including underage drinking, disorderly conduct, assault and trespassing.
