A brand-new tune from Taylor Swift is set to premiere on NBC's broadcast of the 2008 Olympic Games. 'Change' will be one of the songs played on daily video highlights during the Olympics. The song was hand selected by Team USA athletes and NBC for its lyrical content about overcoming challenges.'Change' will be available on iTunes starting this Friday, with all proceeds benefiting Team USA. It will also appear on Swift's upcoming sophomore album, due for release this fall.
In addition to her Olympic gold, Swift is also celebrating being named Choice Breakout Artist at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards earlier this week.
"It really means a lot to win an award voted on by people my age!" says the teen superstar. "Fan voted awards mean more to me than anything else, so THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to everyone who voted!"

The use of terms like "pop tart" when refreering to young female stars is inapproriate. I think aol seems fixated on these young women, hardly a day goes by without reference to Miley Cyrus. I don't think aol is relevant anymore.

I think the headline reference to "Pop Tart" is out of line. The term is usually in reference to a young starlet that is known for sexual excesses. From what I can tell, that does not apply to Taylor Swift.

I agree with mark. I do not consider Taylor a "pop tart". She is a rather bright, mature and talented young lady who seems to have good morals. Also she is a country singer -- not pop!
I don't consider her in the class of the Britneys, Christinas, Lindseys, and Mileys. However, I don't think Miley is a tart either - she is still just a foolish child which makes childish mistakes!

I am glad I wasn't the only one who thought that was inappropriate. The Jonas Brothers are a pop band of little substance and they would never be referred to in such a demeaning manner. I thought to myself before clicking on the link: either they are literally talking about the breakfast food (hey- it could happen. endorsements and the Olympics go hand in hand) or I got smacked on the head and went back to the 1950s. Guess I'd better get a Band Aid.

AOL looks more like a tabloid every day. By the way, AOL, that's not a complement!

Taylor remixes her songs for Pop. If she were country then stay country.
