Bad weather's moving in, which is what the woman hopes is keeping her husband from driving home on a late night. The song never says what she does when he finally shows up smelling of strange perfume. But in the video, famously banned by CMT, she blows the guy away.

Missed the point of the video. It is obvious in the video (child's fear, woman's balck eye) that hubby is not only a cheater, but an abuser. That seems clear from his treatment of his lover." CMT was stupid. She blows the guy away when he comes at her. I guess CMT doesn't want to deal with domestic violence.

Well if you listen to the live version with the extra verse, she goes and gets a gun and (presumably) shoots him. I love this version too!

NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY CMT BANNED THIS SONG, I LIKED IT A HELL OF A LOT. AND IT MADE NO SINCE FOR THEM TO BAN THE SONG SINCE COUNTRY SONGS ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR CHEATING AND DRINKING LYRICS.
