Sara Evans will perform at Texas Congressman Ron Paul's Rally for the Republic, as part of the official kickoff to Paul's Campaign for Liberty. Other special guests will include singer-songwriter Aimee Allen, MSNBC correspondent Tucker Carlson and Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura. The September 2 event at Minneapolis' Target Center coincides with the Republican National Convention being held in St. Paul, Minn., at the same time.A 2008 Republican candidate for president, Paul suspended his campaign in June and used remaining campaign contributions to fund the Campaign for Liberty. Evans endorsed former presidential candidate Fred Thompson's run for the White House, appearing at fundraisers for the Tennessee senator.
