Randy Houser Takes Special Request From David Letterman

Randy Houser is taking musical direction from ... David Letterman? The country newcomer performed an extended version of his hit single, 'Anything Goes,' on 'The Late Show With David Letterman' Thursday. He repeated the second verse and chorus, upon Letterman's special request.

"Another morning after a crazy night before, I'm searchin' for my blue jeans on a stranger's bedroom floor / Well, shouldn't I feel guilty, well I don't feel a thing / I'd wake her up and say goodbye, but I can't recall her name," Houser sang in the second verse and again at the end of the song, nailing every note.

"The story of my life!" Letterman proclaimed after the performance.

Letterman's band leader Paul Shaffer explained that Letterman called him Thursday morning, saying he loves that verse so much, he wondered if Houser would mind singing it twice. Shaffer then asked Houser, who happily obliged ... and now says he may even start repeating the second verse in his live shows.
