Tim McGraw and his band, the Dancehall Doctors, will perform Thursday for troops and their families at Fort Sam Houston Army post in San Antonio, Texas. Organizers say they are expecting a crowd of 25,000 to attend."We can only begin to sympathize the immense sacrifice the soldiers and their families make on a daily basis, McGraw said. "We hope our show gives them a brief interlude of their duties and time to enjoy themselves for a little while."
U.S. military personnel will assist in the production, staging, and running of the show, which will include three JumboTron screens.
