Blake Shelton, who recently hit No. 1 with his rendition of the Michael Buble song, 'Home,' will be teaming up with Buble for a duet version of the hit. Part of an upcoming CD, 'Hit Man: David Foster and Friends,' Shelton holds the distinct honor of being the only representative of country music invited to participate on the project."To be the only country artist [on the album] was an honor," Shelton tells GAC. "It was also really cool to be there with Buble, Josh Groban, Peter Cetera ..."
Shelton is no stranger to teaming up with musical greats. In addition to his girlfriend, Miranda Lambert, lending her vocals on 'Home,' his current album, 'Pure B.S.', also features performances with two of his musical heroes, George Jones and John Anderson.
"You can take all the TV shows, the cool projects, and all that stuff, and it's all great, but this was my moment," he said. "This was the biggest thing for me in my career. When this is all over and my time is done, this will be what I treasure the most."
'Hit Man: David Foster and Friends' also features performances by Boz Scaggs, Katherine McPhee, Brian McKnight, Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. It's set to hit stores on November 11.
