The U.S. House of Representatives has officially recognized Toby Keith for his ongoing participation in USO tours overseas. The House passed the resolution, first introduced in June by Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.), to honor Keith for his support of U.S. Armed Forces."I appreciate Congressman Cole's recognition in introducing this resolution," Keith said, "and I have to say the real glory belongs to those men and women I've met who leave their families and put it on the line for the rest of us. Getting to visit with them once a year is the biggest honor for me, and I will encourage other artists and performers to make that USO trip."
Keith has participated in USO tours to Belgium, Kosovo, Italy, Germany and Afghanistan.
