Inspired by Willie Nelson and his efforts to promote the use of biodiesel fuel, two young men, Nik Bristow and Brian Pierce, hopped in a Volkswagen Jetta on Monday, to drive some 36 hours from New York City to Santa Monica, Calif., on pure BioWillie fuel. Other than switching places in the driver's seat every so often, the pair made the trip without stopping (not even for a potty break). The cross-country drive was an attempt to prove the clean, efficient properties of Nelson's alternative fuel.
Bristow and Pierce documented the trip with live streaming video, chatting with website visitors along the way.
