haha you obviously dont understand country music. if you pay attention to the first half of the song, he says he doesnt understand anything his gangster friend says and makes fun of him. born in colorado and living in north jersey, believe me, i would know.

im sorry...i grew up on country music i think know country music when i hear it!! george strait, chris ledoux, and soo many more deserve to on this list...why waste room on the list for a song like this?!?!
rockndwnthehiwayat 11-08-2008
Heather, you asked why would they waste room on the list for a song like this?! Because this is a genuine country song, which you would know if you really grew up on country music. In case you've forgotten...which is obvious...REAL country artists write and record songs about what they've experienced in their own lives. Some of these so-called "artists" coming up in the music world today couldn't hold a candle to people like Loretta Lynn when it comes to surviving hard times and having to work hard for everything you've got. And this song is just one example of the tough times she's been through. So don't knock it if you've never walked a mile in her shoes. And leave the "holla back" street slang to the teenagers and idiots who wear their pants around their knees. There's enough ignorance in the world already...don't add anymore of your own.

So...where's the actual COUNTRY music?!? I'm talking about Hank Williams, Sr., Ray Price, Johnny Cash, Jimmie Rodgers, Patsy Cline, The Carter Family, Hank Locklin, etc. This list is disgraceful and pathetic. You people need to use Amazon.com in conjunction with Allmusic.com to learn about REAL COUNTRY music.
mimsat 10-12-2008
If you would read the title of the article you would realize that it has nothing to do with it being the "actual country music" that you're talking about. They weren't making a list of the greatest singers or even songs for that matter, it's about a LYRIC, not the singer. It was getting on my nerves seeing all these people getting offended about the artists on here when it's totally irrelevant.
bugsy32004at 7-28-2009
