Countriest Country Lyrics: No. 15

"In North Carolina, way back in the hills/Me and my old pappy had a hand in a still/We brewed white lightning till the sun went down/Then he'd fill him a jug and he'd pass it around"

--'White Lightning,' George Jones (1959)

The lyric here is wrong. It should be `...lived my old Pappy and he had him a still.`

If you are going to write for CMT, learn a little about country music. This is not some obscure song, but one of the essential country songs of all time.
