Trace Adkins and Lynyrd Skynyrd will ring in 2009 by both playing two New Year's Eve shows -- in two different cities. The country hitmaker and the Southern rock legends will appear first in Pikeville, Kentucky, on December 31. Then they'll head west (and even travel back in time by crossing from the Eastern to the Central time zone) to usher in the new year in Nashville. To accommodate their respective travel schedules, each artist will open one show and headline the other.
Tickets for the New Year's Eve shows will go on sale October 18.
