There are so many new artists and ones that have been around for some time, they are all good, have great music, but can't someone else win some of the swards besides George StraiT. Give it to some of the others.

Excuse you for not knowing your country singers. George Strait has won his many awards the hard way. He earned them. He is a true country singer and doesn't fly by the seat of ripped jeans. His jeans are starched and creased. You can't name all the here today gone tomorrow singers that has been around during George's reign.

I do not think it is right for a singer to win an award for singing a song that he did not even write!! I do not care how long you have been singing country music, but if they are not your words...it is basically glorified karaoke, this is to you george strait..

Yes, George Strait any day for any award I don't care how many he wins! Just like the group Alabama...always happy when another award is won. George sticks to country music roots and doesn't have to resort to dancing around on stage and theatrics! Pure music.

You must be a disgruntled writer, it is a singing award that is why they have awards for writing as well. Not all writers can sing so are you saying that we should miss out on some really great songs because the writer could not sing? and miss some really talented singers because they may not be the best writers? Are you sure you are a music fan? I think not.

George Strait is one GREAT he is one of many who made country music what it is today and alot of the new country music up and coming will tell you that. So don't let his age fool you LISTEN to his songs.

I would rather see someone besides Keith, Kenny and Brad win. I am always thrilled when George still gets them after all these years. And I agree with whoever said it...he is the most country out of all of those guys
