Billy Ray Cyrus Scores Role in Jackie Chan Flick

Billy Ray Cyrus has landed a supporting role in Kung-fu star Jackie Chan's new movie, 'The Spy Next Door.' Chan will play a man having to fight off secret agents after a kid he's babysitting accidentally downloads a secret governmental code. Cyrus says he plays a "cool character" who luckily doesn't have to do as many stunts as Chan.

"Mostly, when he really needs to be forceful, my guy carries a gun," Cyrus tells Dial-Global of his character. "So I let Jackie do all the high-energy karate chops and stuff. And then when it's my turn, I just pull out my piece and do my thing."

'The Spy Next Door' will also star comedian/actor George Lopez, who plays the bad guy. The film is currently being shot in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There's no word yet on when it will hit theaters.

Cyrus also hits the big screen, big time, alongside superstar daughter Miley in the upcoming 'Hannah Montana' movie. Rascal Flatts, Bucky Covington and Taylor Swift all have cameo roles in that film, which is set for release in April.

I think billy ray is ok but he don't diserve all the bad stuff if you don't like don't listen to him is that so hard

Billy Ray doesn't seem to smile much any more. I remember him a dozen or so years ago with a smile on his face all the time...but now, he seems so sad.

when he was home {Ky}few years back for a funeral when one of his band members dad died... i spoke with him and he was just a very kind carin' man..

he is not ridin' the coat tail of his daughter.. as some of u think...

Honestly yellowrose, your reply to jack is rather immature. I mean seriously Miley Cyrus is a just a disney channel star who like all the others managed to get lucky and expand her image with the "Hannah Montana" alter ego. As for Billy Ray, his music is rather good. I've heard better but he's alright. Yet as far as acting is concerned, I got to agree with LostxDreams. He's a country singer, not an actor. Deal with it. And for your information, just because some one says they both suck does not mean they're jealous. They just do not like them. Simple enough. If you cannot grasp that concept then you are indeed a sniveling little immature child.

Billy Ray is from Flatwoods, KY but the town is not flat. It is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Billy lived across the Ohio River in Ironton, Ohio when he was married to his first wife, Cindy. Flatwoods and Ironton are in the Ohio River Valley. When I was in high school, he would sunbathe in a Speedo all greased up and we laughed at him. There are a lot of people around here who swear that he was sexually involved with men before he made it big.

Billie Raye Cypres is a legend in his own mind. Look up the word "REDNECK" in Webster's book and there's a picture of Cypres. What a freakin' hick. How did he ever find his way out of the hills? Must have fallen off the mountain.
