Dixie Chicks Help Fight AIDS With New Music

In commemoration of World AIDS Day (December 1), the Dixie Chicks have contributed a new song, 'Lucky Ones,' to a new digital music magazine called RED(Wire). It's the trio's first release since winning five Grammys in 2007.

A $5 subscription allows users to receive a new issue of the magazine every Wednesday, with either an exclusive song from a major artist, a song from a new artist, or a multimedia piece. Proceeds will benefit HIV-infected people in Africa.

Other artists teaming with the magazine include Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, U2, Coldplay, John Legend, R.E.M. and Bob Dylan. Collaborations include Elvis Costello and the Police, as well as the Killers, Elton John and the Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant.

Its called Respect! Its one thing to make a derogative comment about our country to a fellow countryman, its totally another to say it to a stage of strangers on foreign soil.

Don - You are a ball faced liar. George Bush's administration has donated more money than any other ever. The U.S. accounts for 95% of the AIDS relief in the world.

When I first read the headline I wondered how, then it occurred to me, listeners will be occupied pressing their hands against their ears to be able to get their pants down!

i think that the dixie chicks were right to say what thay did and i will continue my support of them forever like any true fan would do. i feel that same way that thay do. i am asamed that george bush jr. we did not need to be in iraq we need to find osama first than we could have fought with iraq afterwareds after all the un did not find any womd at all. this war is probly why we are in a ression now instead of keeping the money that we needed here we are speending the money overseas on a war that we did not nedde to be in. all georeg jr wanted to do is fight a war that his dad couldn't finsh. i just hope that obama will get our troops home in the next three years so we can finally find osama and kill him just like we killed sadam. but we also need to fix things at home too. i still love the dixie chicks a like all true fans will counitne to do so forever.

I agree Natalie Maines needs to leave the group. She is a trouble maker

I'm tired of people claming to be entertainers, then they turn political activist. They should be careful, because of the large forum they have. Won't support them anymore.
