'American Idol' alum Kristy Lee Cook has parted ways with Arista Nashville once again. The country singer was first signed to the record label in 1999, also inking a deal two years later with BMI and with Britney Spears' production company as its first signed artist. Cook was dropped from the label before any music was released.Cook did release an album on an independent label, Ren-Hen Records, in 2005. But 'Idol' was her big break, as she made it to the Top 7 on the seventh season of the wildly popular show. She signed with Arista shortly after the show wrapped, releasing her debut album, 'Why Wait,' this past September. Its first single, '15 Minutes of Shame,' hit the Top 30, but no other singles from the album were officially released to country radio.
