The Winchester, Va. home where Patsy Cline lived as a teenager may soon be open to the public. Celebrating Patsy Cline Inc. owns the house where the country legend lived with her family from 1948 - 1953. The organization has asked government officials to consider changing the city's zoning ordinance to allow museums in the neighborhood."It was from this house that her career blossomed with many performances as a teenager, singing in Winchester and surrounding areas," CPC President Judy Sue Huyett-Kempf tells The Winchester Star. "From this house, fans can follow the path left by this famous icon in country music."
"I first met her when she lived there," Cline's widower Charlie Dick recalls. "I spent half my time over there when we were dating."
Cline died in a 1963 plane crash when she was just 30 years old. She's best known for such country classics as 'Walkin' After Midnight,' 'Crazy' and 'I Fall to Pieces.'

It should be noted Patsy is the real Queen of country music for females and if not for her Loretta would have never been anybody in music. Which by the way is more than can say for present day singers or songtress have done for anyone. Which shows that now days they help no one to get anywhere in music

I WAS GROWING UP IN WINCHESTER, VA. WHEN PATSY CLINE WAS JUST STARTING HER CAREER. SHE SANG AT THE RACE TRACK WHERE MY FATHER DROVE AND I ALWAYS ENJOYED LISTENING TO HER AND HER VISITS WITH THE CROWD AFTERWARD. SHE HAD A WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOR AND WAS QUITE AN ENTERTAINER. COUNTRY MUSIC LOST AN ANGEL, BUT HEAVEN GAINED ONE!

45 years later her songs still air every day. What artist did you hear this year that you might think that could happen for? I was whistling "Crazy" while walking my dogs just last night.
