Mindy McCready is still in a Nashville hospital after her apparent suicide attempt on Wednesday. But according to her younger brother, she is "recovering just fine.""Mindy's doing great. She's fine," Josh McCready tells PEOPLE magazine. "She was hospitalized, but she's fine. She's good now."
Josh would not elaborate on what led his sister to harm herself. Paramedics found the troubled singer Wednesday with injuries to her wrists. This is the second time this year McCready has been hospitalized for suicidal behavior. She went to rehab this summer after trying to wash down sleeping pills with vodka.
Just last month, McCready was singing a more optimistic tune, promising her fans that she was planning a big comeback -- both personally and professionally. "Redemption is out there for everybody to get," she told the syndicated TV show 'Inside Edition.' "Just watch me. I'm gonna show you how to do it."
McCready is best known for her hits '10,000 Angels' and 'Guys Do It All the Time,' but she hasn't had a song on the country charts since 2002. She did, however, make national headlines this year after admitting to a decade-long affair with married baseball star Roger Clemens.

OK, speaking from experience of working in a field that results in encounters with numerous suicides, if someone is going to kill themself, they will. Period. She wants attention.

Good point.I agree, if they get to the point they are serious, they do it right. I am just commenting on the fact this girl is not fine with this kind of repeated behavior.She might try to do this one time and succeed,, even if she was just seeking attention.
I have lost several friends to suicide. Usually a shotgun in the roof of the mouth. One friend tried a gun to the temple and all he did was blind himself.That was 35 years ago. I often wondered if he changed his mind as he was pulling the trigger.

She can't get a singing gig again so I guess she thinks this is the way to get publicity. I never did think she could sing. She is another blond trying to take advantage of men and it didn't work so let's get everyone to feel sorry for her. Her brother needs to get her a shrink!!!

I have no sympathy. When people have money, family and friends and don't reach out for help it's hard for me to feel sorry for them. This is a blonde white woman which means she already has an in and then add the career of music and money it's icing on the white cake. She doesn't have to want for anything, can go anywhere and has the money to do so. She has the money to pay for a shrink so tell her to go see the shrink. Stupid woman when your dead it's final and then you can fix nothing. The world has bigger problems then yours. Focus your energy on someone else besides having a pity party for yourself.
