No artist in country music has waged a more personal and public battle with food addiction and weight gain than Wynonna Judd. Now, in an effort to promote a healthier lifestyle for herself and her fans, Judd has signed on to be the face of over-the-counter weight loss aid alli. In addition to a national television campaign launching this week, Wynonna will appear in a series of print ads to begin later this month. She's also scheduled to participate in promotional giveaways and contests for the popular weight-loss product throughout the year.
The TV spot, which was shot in Nashville, features Judd sharing her story of finding ways to be healthier through the alli program.
"Alli has allowed me a sense of well-being," says Judd. "I've passed up a lot of products, but with alli I have choices over what I can eat and flexibility; it fits into my schedule. The fact that it is FDA-approved really struck a chord with me because that means it has been thoroughly tested and is safe. I hope that I can inspire people to be better ... that they can see themselves in me and say, 'If she can do it, I can do it.'"
Wynonna's seventh studio album, 'Sing,' offers her unique versions of pop, rock and country standards including 'Till I Get It Right,' by Tammy Wynette, Nat "King" Cole's 'When I Fall In Love,' and 'Ain't No Sunshine' by Bill Withers. The album is set for release on February 3.

Wynonna has been such a wonderful mom and with that dynamic voice-- her fans do not focus on her weight but i applaud her in going after this battle with a otc she is comfortable with. she is so right--her priority is to be healthy and what she weighs now will set the stage for her overall health in 10 yrs. she seems happy and in control. i wish i could take otc---i would try it but i have had reactions to others--- so better not. she is so pretty no matter her weight---

I wish her well. She should also change her diet. I think she is a beautiful talented woman. I am a big boned woman too (though I can't sing!) I lost 20 pound recently by eliminating most junk food and trying to eat more natural unprocessed food. I love thick greek yogurt with fitflax every morning

ummmm, the fitflax i bought tastes like nuts....soaked in tuna fish oil! Its horrible!!!

Oh yeah, it's tested by the FDA so it's like totally safe. Yeah, and anyone that buys this I have a great deal on a bridge that I'd like to sell you.

Hey AOL, why don't you remove the posts that contain the viruses? Like the one here from "nnicoliaus".
