11 Questions With Billy Bob Thornton: No. 11

"Whenever anyone says I'm an actor making a record, I tell them to kiss my ass," says Billy Bob Thornton, who may be better known for his movies but insists that music is his first love. The Boot was invited inside Thornton's Beverly Hills home to talk about his country-rock band, The Boxmasters. And after our chat about music, we couldn't help but probe the Arkansas-native on matters a little more personal, resulting in revelations about fatherhood, his dream drinking buddy and his ongoing relationship with an oh-so-famous ex.

What's the craziest rumor you've ever heard about yourself?

One that was bizarre was that I only eat orange food. It was in the papers for two or three years! I used to go to this one hotel and have breakfast there and only order a plate of papaya and coffee, and those hotel people always talk about you to the media. So I think someone must have said, "All he ever orders is papaya," and it must have come from that.

Odors4U: You stink besides being ignorant. Once and for all the others who insist on this reason for rationalizing their unfounded hatred of the Obamas: what Michelle said was this was the first time she was "REALLY" proud. Now pride can be relative. Sometimes its sorta proud, extremely proud and just plain proud. Besides its hard to be proud of fellow citizens who are obstinately illiterate.

I am not thrilled with "Mr. President" coz he doesn't have the experience others have had BEFORE they got into office. I will give it a chance, however.

What is barking up my tree right now is that a Lot of the black folks are acting like they are the Only ones now & they think they now Own the USA.

I think because a lot of whites have done the same in the past. I was brought up to be polite to Everyone & treat everyone with dignity; no one has told me I don't,so I guess I'm doing ok. I hope so.

REMEMBER EVERYONE..WE ALL OWN THE USA! Not just the whites, the blacks, the hispanics...etc. WE ALL DO, so quityerbitchin'!

vince more--------if you think hussein can get us out of this economic crisis, which his party created, I have some property to sell you. Remember Fannie and Freddie was created, ran, regulated and protected by dempcraps, it was their cash cow.

Hussein believes abortion is the answer to birth control, not self control. Hussein ordered Gitmo closed without a plan as to where to house terrorists, or when or how or where to try them, and to close other jails around the world our AMERICAN soldiers keep terrorists at a huge risk to AMERICANS and AMERICAN soldiers. Hussein has named thugs, tax cheats and liars to his cabinet. Why is this good for AMERICA???????

Black or white, we cannot afford a bunch of liberals in Congress or the White house. Unfortunately, Bush caved at the end to the Democrats with this TARP nonsense. We are cooked, unless BO becomes a clone of Ron Reagan, and Nancy Pelosi becomes a female Newt Gingrich. (Chances pretty slim).
So far, BO has managed to get soft on terror - great - more change to follow. I can hardly wait.

I did not vote for Obama nor did I support him. But I think as this time the American thing to do is stand behind your president and hope for the best. I hope he can get us out of this mess but I also know we're going to have some hard times for the next couple of years. This will not be an easy fix. And also, if you lost your house because gas was $4 a gallon, you were clearly over-extended to begin with. The increase on prices cannot soley be blamed for your misfortune. Next time, try a finanical adviser before you get in over your head.
