Sara Evans can now add author to her long list of accomplishments. Partnering with publisher Thomas Nelson, Evans has just finished the first of four books she is writing as part of her agreement with the company.

The book, co-written with best-selling author Rachel Hauck, is part of a series that will be released in conjunction with Evans' upcoming album. It's described as an "emotional, Southern-flavored, multi-generational tale, featuring a compelling love story." And it's not all fiction, as Evans admits parts of the story mirror her own life.

Evans has plenty on her plate right now -- writing songs for her upcoming album, touring, and being Mom to a blended family of seven children with new husband, Jay Barker. But she admits she didn't have to dig far to find inspiration to write. "I believe there is power in great stories," said Evans. "This is the kind of book I love to read and share."
