Jessica Simpson Flubs Lines in Final Flatts Show

Jessica Simpson ended her run on Rascal Flatts' Bob That Head Tour over the weekend with a bang. Or make that, a crash.

The pop turned country starlet, rocking short Daisy Dukes and a plaid shirt, had to start two songs over after flubbing lines during Saturday's show in Irvine, Calif., the last stop on the tour. First, she didn't quite remember the opening verse of 'Remember That,' the second single from her debut country album.

"Oops! I said whiskey too early! I messed up!" she told the audience, according to US magazine. "I'm so embarrassed! But I'm starting over again because I really want you guys to hear the lyrics the right way."

She also butchered the opening lines of 'Still Don't Stop Me,' but kept a playful attitude about it, poking fun at herself.

"I messed up again. I do this all the time!" she said with a laugh, before starting the song over.

The crowd was arguably forgiving. Though some reports claim Simpson was booed at the Irvine show, US magazine writes that the audience had nothing but applause for the songbird, who responded to one round of cheering with, "I just felt like I was on 'American Idol'!"

"I'm just so excited to be doing this," a beaming Simpson announced to fans, ecstatic about her move to country music. "I feel like I've been given a second chance."

I agree that she needs to move past the low shirt and Daisy Duke shorts. How many female country artists come on stage looking like this? I guess she is trying to look country but she needs to give up that look. It makes you wonder if she is trying to sell her look or her talent? I really think she needs to go back to pop music where she did better.

I am surprised this happens to her so often. I know that people on here are protecting her by saying it's hard to do but this is her job. It's what she does for a living. She sings the same songs night after night so she should not be forgetting lines. I wish her well no matter what venue she takes.

Yeah, fine, nobody's perfect, but come on, she's messed up a number of times, and seriously, what the hell is she wearing? She's either trying too hard to go for sex appeal, or just wears a very unflattering outfit. She tries too hard to look like a country girl, and when aren't her boobs popping outta her shirt? Seriously. What a joke.

She may be a nice person and all, and I'm not judging her that way, but singing wise, and her music career- she just has no business being on stage. Especially a country music stage.

Jessica, is not the first performer, who forgot song lyrics. Does anyone remember ,John Sabastian,at the first Woodstock.Jessica ,keep on doing what your doing, you will find what works for you. P.S. , love your cutoffs

I was at the Rascal Concert in Arizona and she didn't mess up any of the words but she tripped twice and couldn't even talk right. She said " i catched my self there". UGH...she just frustrates me. Its not sexy to try and act dumb it just annoying
