Sunday Rose Kidman Urban was indeed named after the day of the week -- not after Sunday Reed, the muse of a famed Australian artist, as was previously speculated. Dad Keith Urban himself has finally put those rumors to rest. "Particularly when you don't have someone in your life ... in my experience, Sunday was the loneliest day," Urban revealed to Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show Wednesday. "It went from being the most dreaded day of the week for us to being the most joyous day, because we just had a family."
The baby's middle name comes from Urban's family. His brother Shane told an Australian radio station that Rose was the name of their late grandmother.
Urban and wife Nicole Kidman, a fellow Aussie, are raising 9-month-old Sunday Rose primarily in Nashville. So will she have an Australian accent or southern accent?
"I think she may say, 'Good day, ya'll,' " he joked with DeGeneres. "A nice mix."
Urban releases his sixth studio CD this week, 'Defying Gravity.' Listen to the album, track-by-track, here.
