Chuck Wicks Rules Out TV Proposal

As 'Dancing with the Stars' reaches its halfway point this season, real-life couple Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough continue to generate lots of heat on the dance floor. In fact, when Wicks landed on his knees his front of Hough at the conclusion of their Viennese waltz on last week's show, it seemed to many that he was preparing to propose marriage. Not gonna happen, says Wicks -- not on live TV anyway. But the subject of marriage has certainly come up.

"We have a great relationship," Wicks tells TVGuide.com. "We definitely talk about it. It's definitely in the future. It's supposed to be a surprise! I'm not going to do it on the show, but it's not like we don't talk about it or know that that's the next step. All in due time. Right now we love where we are and want to grow from where we are. That's the safest answer in the world, huh?"

Wicks also reveals that between their burgeoning country music careers and the rigors of 'Dancing,' the couple don't have much time to go on proper dates, but they do at least try every once in a while.

"We need a date night," says Wicks. "We spend literally 24/7 together, but I bet you 23 of those hours are working. The other day, we had five hours together so we went to the mall, saw a movie, had dinner together. It's the simplest things in the world that people take for granted and when you have them back, you're like, 'We're lucky.'"

Will Chuck and Julianne's romantic rumba keep them dancing for another week? The results of Monday night's show will be revealed on tonight's episode, 8 PM ET on ABC.
