Jimi Westbrook, Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Roads Schlapman and Phillip Sweet wanted a name to reflect their eclectic musical tastes. They heard about a Nashville music publisher called Little Big Town Music Group -- a company whose hits included George Strait's 'Blue Clear Sky.' The publishing group's former owner, who had sold the firm, told them they were free to use the Little Big Town name.
