The notoriosly philanthropic Vince Gill and Amy Grant are lending their talents to yet another worthwhile endeavor. The couple will host a June 8 concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., paying tribute to wounded military personnel. The evening also marks the kick-off for Challenge America, a charity that works with local communities to support recreational and occupational programs for injured veterans returning from war.In addition to Vince and Amy, other artists scheduled to perform at the special concert include Allison Krauss, Darius Rucker, Michael McDonald and Melinda Doolittle.
"I'm excited about getting to play on stage with all of these talented folks, and to share what we believe in so deeply," says Vince. We want to make an impact on the individuals who have given to us in unimaginable ways. Challenge America is our way of honoring the men and women who truly are heroes."
