Keith Urban Speaks Out About 'Crazy' Adoption Rumor

Keith Urban describes his current Escape Together World Tour as part tour and part reality show. The country superstar says cameras are following him around all the time, capturing footage to be shown on the jumbo-sized screens during his concerts.

One aspect of being followed around constantly, both literally and figuratively, is dealing with misinformation that often gets reported as fact. Case in point: the recent rumors that Keith and wife Nicole Kidman planned to adopt a baby from Vietnam.

While The Boot reported that a spokesperson for Nicole declared the story "fabricated," Keith himself set the record straight once and for all. During a call-in to Tampa Bay radio station US 103.5, Keith said, "This crazy Vietnam adopting rumor thing that's out there is just an absolute plucked-out-of-the-air rumor. So, I don't know where this stuff comes from. It's completely not true, so there you go."

Keith also went on to say that Nicole would not be giving birth to a sibling for daughter Sunday Rose any time soon. "My wife's not pregnant, and I'm not pregnant, either!" he insisted.

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about them adopting. He said it clear enough...they aren't!

Before Mrs. Urban adds any more to her household she should remember that she was once Mrs. Cruise and has two beautiful children from that marriage. I think she forgets sometimes that they exist. She is a pitiful excuse for a mother.

You know Tom Cruise got custody and doesn't let her see them when she would like? Read a magazine once and a while before posting BS. And if you don't want to read a magazine, ok that's fine, but still; don't post BS. You don't know her or her family. She seems like a nice woman to me. And if Keith likes her than she must be a good person.

Becky: Sour grapes or what! The one thing you CAN do and I hope you DO is stop reading and blogging on these pages if your so darned against all the "garbage" in life. I care about many of the same things you do also, and many more things I am sure we both don't have room to blog about. I want the world to be as perfect as it can be, but baby it ain't. Do your best to change what you can, live your life as ardent to those social changes you need to, but understand that just because someone takes some time to write here, is NOT the total sum of that person. It's only a blog. Chill woman, and speak your mind where it counts in your schools, in your community, at your voter's booth..but let other's say their piece also. I did notice you took the time from your own life to blog here, what's the matter puppy, having a boring day????

Dear Joseph Dallago:
You must not be listening to the "progressive country" like Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, good ol' Willy Nelson, not to mention Keith Urban and ton's more...how about ZZ Top, and ole' Texan group who still combine the old and new western sounds.. And most folks in Texas know the bluesy country sound is great listening, and many are "purest" to the old country sounds...Like Chet Atkins, Johnny Cash, Little Jimmy. More than I can name. I suggest you re-think your position and listen to Bocelli, Josh Gorbin, Michale Bluble and other's to balance out your "taste" in music. It's all wonderful. Certainly not a waste of time. I love the "Inkspots", Marvin Gaye, Bo Diddley, Clapton, Steve Winwood, they all contribute to the old and new sounds of country. David Foster is and remains one of the best composer and arranger of many wonderful country sounds, progressive artist and is the crown in many country artist star. Fly brother instead of stagnate.
Peace and out, G. from Birch Bay where all music is alive and wonderful...oh yeah pick up some Delbert McClinton while your at it or ole' Jimmy Smith a great jazz artist. Fly bro, fly.

What difference does it make where a child was born that needs help? Children all over the world need a loving person that really cares. Sure, there are lots of children right here who need help, but there are also children everywhere who cry out for love and attention. I applaud every person or couple that takes on the responsibility to help out in any way that they can. This is what we we're here to do folks- to help one another.
So don't be so judgemental- nit-picking where a needy child came from. Just be glad there are peole out there who can help one human being have a better life.

People say "adopt American" and not overseas... I agree that we should adopt here too since there are soo many homeless children living right here on this continent. The problem is that it is entirely way too difficult and expensive to adopt American. It is becoming increasingly difficult overseas now as well... but still far more easier than here on our land. It is understandable that they would want children to be placed in the proper homes, but how do you become more "relaxed" on such a thing? If things don't become easier to adopt American...then I feel more and more will continue to go overseas.
