Taylor Swift Collaborates With T-Pain?

If you thought the Eminem-Elton John pairing at the Grammy Awards was odd ...

Taylor Swift has gone gangsta! The country darling is teaming up with rap superstar T-Pain for a top-secret collaboration that is rumored to be the opening number of Tuesday's CMT Awards. Taylor was even sporting some grillz at the rehearsal (see photo after the jump). She's up for four trophies, including the night's top award, Video of the Year, for 'Love Story.'

The CMT Awards air live from Nashville on Tuesday, June 16 at 8:00 PM ET. See a full list of nominees here.

Okay, I promised myself that I wasn't going to hate this girl anymore and have bad feelings toward her, however I have to make just one more comment based on everything I have read here, good and bad. Yes, she is a pretty girl, yes she is a good role model for the young girls, or seems to be with her good nature, however, CMA female voclaist of the year was definitely a joke. I can understand entertainer of the year, because she sold a lot of albums and it's all about money. Alison Krauss and Martina McBride are the ONLY real singers that are in the mainstream these days, so many others that don't even get airplay. Anyway, I remember that country music has always gone through changes, and I celebrated those changes. I remember when everyone got upset because Olivia Newton John won a bunch of awards in the 70's, also when John Denver won an award, as I recall it was entertainer of the year in 1975, Charlie Rich was the presenter, and upon opening the envelope and seeing the name, took out a cigarette lighter and set fire to it. Back in the 60's they got mad at artist's like Ray Price who incorporated horns and created the new "Nashville Sound". In the 80's there was another backlash against the new "Urban Cowboy" sound. Country music has always evolved, and there will always be the purists who have not moved beyond the days of Kitty Wells and Hank Williams. To each his own. Growing up in the 70's was great because I was exposed to a wide range of music and I love it all. Country, pop, rock, jazz, even disco, yes I loved it all and still do, from Marty Robbins to Pink Floyd to Pat Metheny and everything inbetween. These days I prefer to listen to bluegrass and jazz. I used to know every country music song on the charts since I was about eight years old. I stopped listening to country radio about 9 years ago when "Please Remember Me" was released by Tim McGraw, originally released in 1995 by my favorite songwriter, Rodney Crowell who co wrote the song with Will Jennings, one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Anyway, I was done. I guess what I am trying to say is that there is nothing wrong with the changes as country music has always been changing, however I cannot get past the fact that this girl cannot sing! She sells albums and that is what she is being rewarded for. I also have to wonder if she is receiving these awards out of sympathy for the abuse she endured by Kanye West. She is a good songwriter and I hope she will get better as a singer as she goes along, I am not trying to be a hater here, just needed to get this out I guess......God bless everyone and happy holidays to all.

Ya'll people who is bashing Taylor need to grow some balls and get over yourself. She probably got paid to do that video more than what you get paid all year. She aint the best looking nor the best singer but if you would actually listen to what the experts say about her she is what we need in America for our children. Country music is the best and always will be. There aint no BS in the songs true and real life stories. U HAW!!

To Deja and anyone else who thinks I'm a racist---> Isn't that a girl's name, unless you are a lesbian. Oh well, I'm glad you date white girls whatever. Just so you know, I know about looks too. You don't know me. I have a Brazilian mother who is very dark skinned and my father is white. I don't look mixed, just white. When I use to live in Philly I never got the looks or so I never felt them and my friends didn't care about my mom. But I left Philly at 16 to an all white town and that changed. I got the looks and whispers and even shunned by the community. I didn't have not one friend in my all white school. I didn't care, but I learned to hate rich white people that's for sure. I will say this, coming from an inner city school to an all white school was a 100% improvement as far as education goes. I didnt' have friends, but it was a much better educational school system. They had a higher level of mentality there. Everyone was about education and college. Since moving out into the world I had to be careful making "white" friends, cus of my mother. I have had some people stop talking to me when they either met my mom or saw a picture of my mom. It doesn't bother me, no skin off my nose they stop being friends with me cus of my mom. I'm not ever going to deny my mom for NO BODY. My mother is the best woman in the world. I even had my husbands family tell me, they didn't want me to think it's because of my mother that they didn't want me to marry him. Then why mention it then. So don't go there with me. Truth hurts about blacks oh well. truth about whites doesn't hurt me, cus I don't even think of myself as being white, cus I don't fit in with them. I do realize that when I have to check a box I check white, but I just don't think of myself white. It's crazy, I know. But there you have it. In philly I had issues with the blacks and puerto ricans, cus I was the only white girl on the school bus, that bused us to the "better" school. I lived in the ghetto. If it wasn't for my beautiful BLACK teacher I would never have gotten out of the ghetto schools. She convinced my parents to put me down as puerto rican(cus of my mom),to qualify as a minority so I could be bused out of that school. I was that smart as a kid, that she felt a need to do that for me. Mrs.Staton. So I have had pos and neg experiences with the 3 main races here in America. It's sad that to be considered a minority you have to be black or hispanic. Brazilians or portuguese or any other non white races don't count. So you minorities need to shut your mouths and take advantage of all the opportunities awarded to you just for not being white.

Seriously??? That has to be one of the most ignorant responses I've heard. The equivalent to the black proms happen every day in the South with the hillbillies. I'm a white woman that isn't so idiotic that I don't realize that there are plenty of people of EVERY race that are an embarrasment to other people of "their kind". It really comes down to being uneducated and raised ignorant.....sort of like you!

You people are so stupid and racist. Number one - Taylor Swift is 19 years old. I'm sure that all of the other young kids listen to T-Pain. Number two, I do agree that T-Pain looks stupid, talks stupid, walks stupidly, but he's doing him and no one is riding on his gravy train. Number three Taylor does not have to be true to anyone but herself and if she wants to collaborate with this guy then she will. She is still innocent and sweet and as far as I know, has remained so throughout all of her amazing rewards. All of you people commenting on her looks, well I'm pretty sure that you are not all that "HOT" yourself. It's easy to critisize people when they are not standing in front of you, but I bet you a hundred bucks if she were in your face you'd be too stunned with her normalcy to even make a coherent thought let alone critisize her.
This girl has made History with coming out, writing her own songs, doing her own thing and then she gets a little flack for doing something diffrent that people dont understand or dont care to understand. I admit, I cringed and felt sorry for all of the black people in the world when T-Pain was up on stage because I admit the man looks stupid. But I thought it was even more embarassing when Toby Keith made comments that the censors had to bleep out trying to be "hip".

You are a true blue asshole. You give rednecks a bad name. I know Skinheads with more sense than you have portrayed and I am a beautiful mixed young woman. Just the fact that you used the word Nigger - and yes I spelled it out unlike you did - displays that you are obviously one.

Too bad Taylor forgets who got her started in Reading, PA. It frustrates me to no end that I was the one who suggested she go country. I'm living paycheck to paycheck while she's out there making the big bucks. A little verbal thank you would be nice, Taylor. It's amazing that you got too big to give the proper recognition to those who helped you get started when you were a nothing.
