Dolly Parton Sweetens Newlyweds' Honeymoon

Michael and Jennifer Frost were on the last leg of their honeymoon. The June bride and groom had traveled to Disney World, flown to Knoxville, and were making their way to Music City by car to be among the lucky 150 who would receive vouchers to meet Dolly Parton during a rare appearance at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Fans began gathering at 5:00 PM on Sunday evening for the Monday morning event, and although the new Mr. and Mrs. Frost joined the line at 4:00 AM, they had planned to arrive three hours earlier. An encounter with a deer on the interstate temporarily halted their plans -- and demolished the front of their car. Undeterred, the couple pressed on and queued up in anticipation of Dolly's arrival at the Hall of Fame's gift store, where the multimedia icon would greet fans, pose for pictures, and sign copies of her new children's book, 'I Am a Rainbow,' and her latest CD, 'Backwoods Barbie.'

While many fans in line wore Dolly t-shirts, and a few others stood out because of their Dolly-related apparel, it was hard to miss the wedding veil worn by the young woman who ended up being the last person in line. Jennifer told The Boot that she didn't wear a veil for her wedding -- "or a cream puff-y dress, either' -- but the veil from her bachelorette party seemed appropriate for this special occasion.

Michael and Jennifer are both performers at the Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge, the home of Dollywood, and they'll be living nearby in Dolly's hometown of Sevierville, Tenn. In 'The Miracle,' Michael portrays John the Baptist, while Jennifer plays Martha, the sister of Mary, in the theater's musical recreation of the life of Jesus Christ.

'He's also the back-up Jesus [in the production]," says Jennifer of her new husband.

Signing her name to hundreds of books and CDs (and a few forbidden items, like a 1978 Playboy with her picture on the cover), Dolly sat behind a table the entire time, until the newlywed couple arrived and shared their story with her. Standing between them, smiling for the camera and chatting, Jennifer told Dolly about Michael's theatrical role as Jesus.

"Well, thank you, Jesus!," Dolly quipped, adding, "I've said that a few times in my life!"
