Kid Rock Wins CMT Wide Open Country Video

Kid Rock took home the Wide Open Country Video of the year award for his No. 1 crossover smash, 'All Summer Long.'

'I was supposed to thank two people and I already forgot who it was," Kid Rock said, obviously frazzled by the win. "I think this was based on creativity, this award. Because what's more creative than a stripper pole on a pontoon boat?"

Kid Rock has become a fixture in Nashville, even buying a condo downtown and collaborating with some of the town's top songwriters. He hugged good friend and Nashville neighbor, Sheryl Crow, before accepting his award.

I agree this guy can sing anything!! His mellow songs are so sincere, his music has come a long way. I didn't listen to him when he was hiphop, not interested, but when 'Amen' and 'All Summer Long' came out I bought my first Kid Rock cd! He rocks with the best of them. Keep the songs going Kid!

Man! When I heard this song it pesonifies my summer experiences in Onaway, Michigan. The late nights at the 911 bar,The camp picnics at Black Lake, Living in the cabin Desi and Lucy arnez spent their honeymoon at in the 50's, wow, strolling Cheyboygan, the Falls, and The Northern Lights midnight views. However, the call of fall session at CMU marked the return to earth, thanks Kid!

Let me say this again i love kidrocks music but to date he has not made a country song of his own. some people would like to change country music into something it's not and as for hank jr great artist but have you ever been to one of his live concerts?

I really doubt that kid rock, gives a damn what anyone thinks about him or his music. But i'll go out on a limb and say he knows his music is good, this was from awhile back and in his song he says i believe 15 million sold M.F. so there. Theres been many millions since then, and if he's good enough to party and hang with Hank Jr, then he's good enough for this southern boy. Hank was denied until the establishment looked like damn fools for not giving him his dues, and i'm sure there not going to make the same mistake twice. And by the way had he not had those musicians okay, i'm sure we would of heard about it long before now. Get a LIFE!!!!!!

great song, great guy, but not country music. Kid if you see this love to have you in country music just don't screw it up if i want to listen to rock , and sometimes i do , i'll turn it to a rock channel but when i want to listen to country i don't want to tune into a country channel and hear rock n roll your talented enough to make a good and real country song and i for one would like to see you do it
