Ferlin Husky Hospitalized

Country singer Ferlin Husky was admitted to the hospital last week for the second time in recent months. According a post on his website, the 83-year-old performer was admitted to Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tenn., on July 2, with an accelerated heart rate. Doctors are treating Husky for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and said he might be battling pneumonia as well.

Husky was placed in the hospital's critical care unit, where he underwent tests throughout the weekend. In April, the singer, who's best known for the 1960 pop-country hit 'Wings of a Dove,' was hospitalized in Springfield, Mo. for a week, where he received treatment for pneumonia and congestive heart failure.

You are the MAN

I worked with Ferlin in Madison WI. several years ago, I shared the stage with him for one of the greatest weeks in my life.
What a showman, he was and is a real STAR.
My thoughts and prayers are with this legend and his family, get well soon Ferlin.
BTW, he should be in the Hall Of Fame, he is the first country singer to have a Star on the Walk of Fame. He is a giant.
I would love to help get him the votes......

A true musical legend from back when country music was country music.Today's country artists can't hold a candle to him!!Today most country music is really just over-produced pop with a country accent!!

With so many of us feeling he should be in the Hall of Fame, maybe we should write to them and let them know how the public feels.
