Trace Adkins Plays Action Hero

Country superstar, reality television star, author ... comic book hero! Trace Adkins is the inspiration behind a fearless southern hero in a new four-issue comic book series by 12 Gauge Comics, entitled 'Luke McBain.'

Trace's role as the title character was developed after both the writer David Tischman and publisher Kevin Gardner spent a lot of time with Trace to make the role authentic. "The McBain character became kind of a reflection of Trace Adkins' entertainment persona," Tischman reports. "It breathes a real life personality into the fictional character which is something we wanted. Trace helped a lot with that, and it's something that I think we've worked hard to write into the character."

In the series, Trace's character Luke returns home to rural Louisiana after serving 14 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. His hometown has become controlled by greed and corruption, and he is the only person who has enough courage to stop it.

The first issue of 'Luke McBain' will hit comic book stores in November.

I Love Trace Adkins! However, this concept sounds alot like "Walking Tall" the story about Sheriff Buford Pusser. Only thing I see different is Buford Pusser wasn't in prison before he took on his hometown corruption.
