It's an all-Ohio weekend as they'll be in Cuyahoga Falls tonight (Aug.7) and and Cincinnati on Saturday (Aug. 8). A total of 65,000 fans are expected to see the group's three shows in the Buckeye state. Darius Rucker continues as the opener on the trek, and Dierks Bentley will be a special guest for the Saturday homecoming.
Also going home this month is Alaska-born songstress Jewel. On August 19, she's performing a solo acoustic show at the Mariner Theatre in Homer, Alaska. The concert, which will also feature Jewel's brother, Atz Lee Kilcher, is a benefit for Homer's Bunnell Street Arts Center Artists in Schools program.
"I'm so thankful for this town and all that I have been able to accomplish because of the support I received as a young and aspiring artist," says the singer-songwriter. "When I was 15, I was accepted to Interlochen, an arts school in Michigan, to pursue my studies in visual art and music."
Jewel's hometown of Homer helped her raise the $11,000 she needed to attend that school.
