Wynonna Judd played 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' on ABC-TV Tuesday night (Aug. 18) and took home $50,000 for her favorite charity, Backpack Mission Ministries. Wynonna's winnings will help provide backpacks filled with food for children in impoverished homes of rural Kentucky, her home state. The powerhouse vocalist solved a math riddle to take the top prize, with the assistance of a 'Phone-A-Friend' lifeline, her Aunt Margaret Mandell.
Also this week, Wynonna will launch a four-part web series, "I'm With Wy," premiering Thursday (Sept. 20) at ABC.com. The series follows Wynonna in Nashville during this past summer's CMA Music Festival, offering a behind-the-scenes look from the fan's perspective.
The ABC.com series is being launched to promote 'CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock,' the star-studded special which airs Monday, August 31 at 8 p.m. (ET) on ABC. Earlier that same day, you can catch Wy on ABC's 'Good Morning America,' in a backstage chat with Cameron Mathison, from the ABC soap, 'All My Children.'
