Radney Foster is taking the title of his new album, 'Revival,' to heart. In the weeks leading up to the project's release, the acclaimed singer/songwriter has been gracing stages across the U.S. Earlier this month, Radney joined pal Keith Urban in Dallas to sing 'Raining on Sunday,' which he wrote. He had a star-studded birthday bash in Nashville last month, featuring performances by Dierks Bentley, Vince Gill, Darius Rucker, Lee Roy Parnell, the Randy Rogers Band and Radney's old duet partner, Bill Lloyd (Foster & Lloyd). And on Tuesday (Sept. 1), he's releasing his long-awaited new album, which features duets with Dierks and Darius.Dierks, who recorded the Texas songwriter's 'Sweet and Wild' for his 'Greatest Hits: Every Mile a Memory' collection, joins Radney to harmonize on 'Until It's Gone,' an up-tempo rocker extolling the virtues of living life to its fullest.
Darius joins in on 'Angel Flight,' a deeply moving tune Radney penned with another songwriter from the Lone Star state, Darden Smith. It's a story of the men and women who fly home the members of the military who have lost their lives. The song came about after Darden talked with a pilot in the Texas Air National Guard who told him he flew angel flights. Proceeds from the tune will be donated to a charity providing assistance to military families touched by tragedy.
'Revival' is Radney Foster's first album in nearly four years. He wrote or co-wrote every track on the CD, which will be released by his own Devil's River record label.
