CMA Award Nominations Announced

Taylor Swift has scored her first-ever CMA Entertainer of the Year nomination -- the country music industry's most prestigious award. The precocious 19-year-old is the only female in the category, going up against Brad Paisley, George Strait, Keith Urban and the reigning Entertainer, Kenny Chesney. This is the first time in nine years that a solo female artist has been nominated for the honor. (The last was Faith Hill in 2000.) Taylor is also up for Female Vocalist of the Year, alongside Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood, who's taken that trophy home the past two years in a row.

Lee Ann Womack and Darius Rucker made the announcements on ABC's 'Good Morning America' Wednesday. Lee Ann scored a nomination for Musical Event of the Year, for her duet with George Strait, 'Everything But Quits.' Darius is up for both Male Vocalist and New Artist of the Year.

The 43rd annual CMA Awards will broadcast live from Nashville, Nov. 11 on ABC.

she deserves everything that she has ever won because she is an amazing person and not only does she sing awesome she writes all of her own music. she inspires people everyday so obviously she deserves it because she has won so much and is so popular at the age of 19 and for only being famous for a short period of time.

It is actually funny to see Taylor listed as a nominee for FVOTY alongside other such talented women. Furthermore, to call her a “country” artist is completely ridiculous…she would much rather win a VMA than a CMA, even when it seems she has just as many haters over there in the pop realm (Kanye?)
I just hope that she begins to burn out; I don’t know how much I can hear about her anymore. She has minimal vocal talent and is completely overrated writing wise; her songs have no varying theme or issue – we get it Taylor, you either hate or love boys.

having her in the “Female Vocalist” category is an insult to the other women in the category. Taylor Swift is nowhere near the vocalist that Martina McBride or Carrie Underwood are.
Taylor swift DOES NOT deserve to be up for entertainer of the year.
1) she can’t sing
2) this is what, her 2nd year being famous!
3) Carrie Underwood won EOY becuase she is an amazing vocalist and person, Carrie Underwood derserved it, Taylor Swift DOES NOT!!
CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS THE BEST!
Carrie beat Kenny hands down on all of it. He played 57 shows she played 137 and both played to 1million+ people.
They shouldn’t even be nominating Taylor for female vocalist because the title says “VOCALIST”.

Congrats Taylor! You are very deserving of your nominies... You are not only the most talented song writer and entertainer there is right now! Your a good example to young people that being polite and love of family is what's important in life. You have shown many young people that hard work and kindness is what it's all about.You have a voice like an angel and your spirit shines to others. God has truly blessed you. Through that you have blessed others. Stay grounded in Him... Your special! Thank God for Taylor Swift!

Whats? Taylor nominee for EOTY? This is a joke? I don´t believe . She sing horrible and not have a awasome year , the only good is that she sold 3 millons albums and nothinh else important.And she not won a grammy , she not ismember of Grand Ole Opry and perform only 50 concerts. And she really sing bad please someone tell me that think the same!!! The CMA Awards lost so much prestige with this! And Carrie Underwood is not nominee???? Carrie sold 11 millon albums , is 6 times winner of Female Vocalist , won 4 Grammy Awards , was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry , is the first country artist to notch 10 N1 singles from first tw albums , she win 3 People Choise Awards including Favorite Star 35 and Under, and perform 137 live concerts , and in 2008 on 9 awards and in this period of 2009 won 10 awards !!!. Carrie Underwood is a real EOTY , areal talent , amazing singer and amazing person!!! CARRIE UNDERWOOD THE BEST EVER !!!!!
