In the aftermath of her nightmarish VMA moment and Kanye West's subsequent apology, Taylor Swift is at least able to bask now in the love and support that fans and celebrities have been showering her with. At the same time, she's trying desperately to move on ... which some people just won't let her do."It's wonderful to have so much love and support sent in my direction," Taylor told Ryan Seacrest Friday on his radio show. "I got flowers from Janet Jackson!" she exclaimed.
And since Taylor has built her fairytale career writing songs about true life incidents and relationships, Ryan asked the 19-year-old phenom if she would write about the infamous VMA moment.
"I think that in order to write a song about something, I have to have clarity, and I have to be completely sure about what I feel about it," Taylor answered. "And, I'm not there yet."
But another on-air interview on Tampa, Florida's syndicated MJ Morning Show didn't go so smoothly on Friday.
"I'm just honestly trying not to make it into a bigger deal than it already is," came Taylor's weary response to the radio jock's request that she lay out the whole scene of that night. "It's become more of a big deal than I ever thought it would be. It happened on TV, so everybody saw what happened. I just would like to move on."
But the radio jock wouldn't take no for an answer and asked Taylor if she thought the whole thing was scripted. Sounding on the verge of tears, the singer tried again to shoot him down. "I didn't know what to think, but I think that we should maybe talk about something else. I've talked about this in one interview, and that was going to be it. It's not something I feel like we need to keep talking about."
Evidently, it was something the radio jock thought they needed to keep talking about, and he barged ahead, asking if she thought Kanye's apology was sincere. And once more, Taylor tried tried to change the subject -- gently but firmly. "I really would appreciate it if we could talk about something else, because I've asked you three times now, and I'm trying to be nice about it. It just isn't something we need to spend this whole interview talking about."
It was when the radio jock chastised Taylor that she was going to have to field these questions anyway in other interviews to come, and shot off yet another question about the night that Taylor's publicist finally picked up the line to request they move on. Because the radio jock didn't want to, Taylor did not return to the phone. Listen to the entire awkward interview here.

Way to go Taylor. A lot of people in show business would have choosen to milk that incident for all the publicity they could get out of it! Taylor has choosen to take the high road instead. Although I'm not a big fan of hers, I am amazed at the level of self confidence and maturity this teenager has about who she is and what she will and will not do to further her celebrity stature. She has chooses to let her talent move her forward in her career. She doesn't strike me as one of those celebitches that takes advantage, and over exposes, any and all 15 minutes of fame that drops in their lap, regardless of how ridiculouse it is. Taylor doesn't need to work that crap to be adored by her many fans. You go girl!!!

I myself am not the world's biggest country fan, but if I had to choose which one to support over the other, it would definitely be Ms. Swift. She has handled herself admirably, and I think she has nowhere to go but up. She is shrewd enough to understand that milking any kind of publicity for all it's worth could damage her career before it becomes everything it could be--and, what's more, she is showing respect for the man who insulted her by refusing to let the issue become bigger than it already is. This, of course, makes it obvious which of them is more mature.

I totally agree and wonder why that hasnt been brought up more, if at all. Had it been the other way around, we would have had Al and Jessie all over the damn news!

The MJ morning show showed that it has no class as well. If this is the only thing that they can think of to ask Taylor Swift they are pretty brainless.

Taylor was naive to think people aren't going to ask about it. Yeah you talked about it in another interview, but the listeners of each station most likely didn't see or hear the other one. MJ was being nice and trying to get answers to what people want to know. He did nothing wrong. If he had known before hand she didn't want to talk about it he wouldn't have taken the interview. Her handlers didn't tell him not to ask about it. They didn't prepare her very well.

He knew after her first comment about moving on and persisted. Yeah.....nice guy.

yeah so he says ... like he dropped it when she asked him could they move on..what three times..he was just as rude as West, if not more so. I dont think West actually planned to be nasty to Taylor but this idiot who wants to be someone thought he would be known after that interview where he proved he could be a nasty jerk to a kid. No one will remember him in a few months.
